Founded in 1927, Osaka Kombu Kaiso K.K. is a dedicated wholesaler of kombu kelp. In addition to both domestic and international sales of whole-leaf kombu, our line of business includes the sales of processed kombu products such as kombu powder, cut kombu, white sheet kombu (shiroita kombu), as well as dulse irideae(ginkgo leaf-like seaweed) and various seaweeds used in building materials and woven fabrics. In September of last year, construction of our new premises was completed. With these new facilities, which include a humidity & temperature-controlled warehouse and sanitary & safe work environment, we are ready to meet the exact requirements from our customers. We started exporting kombu to Northern Europe and United States in the 1930s. The Dashi kombu of our trademark “Fundo Brand” has been widely enjoyed and regarded as a high-quality kombu in North America. (“Fundo Brand”, the balance weight logo, is a registered trademark in the U.S.A.)

In recent years, we also manufacture private-label products, and have exported products to North and South Americas, European, Middle East and Asian countries.
